Job Description
The Account Manager acts as a liaison between regional representatives and internal teams, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from project conception through post-installation. This role involves managing multiple unique orders, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and designers.
ResponsibilitiesField inquiries related to the physical and technical aspects of products.Coordinate with internal teams to find solutions for unique products or installations.Receive, process, and manage multiple incoming orders with unique requirements and timelines.Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales reps, and designers.Create, run, and analyze sales and pipeline reports.Control project flow from start through shipping phase by providing administrative direction for customers and various internal departments.Analyze initial project requirements and update internal databases as project status changes.Produce order acknowledgements for each project.Maintain and archive internal and external communication using NetSuite and Outlook.Communicate directly with designers and engineers after project handoff.Follow up on status of samples and drawings completed during quotation phase.Work with Architectural Project Managers to establish project timelines and phasing.Attend weekly meetings with Production and Engineering to review time-sensitive projects.Provide verbal and written reports with issues, implications, and potential courses of action.Participate in project intake meetings, communicating next steps and timelines with clients.Provide subject matter expertise on product designs, as needed.Update customers on shop drawing status and request additional information, as needed.Communicate tracking information to customers once projects have shipped.Provide support to assigned reps and send bi-monthly project reports.Essential SkillsProject coordination experience in design-related projects, particularly in the field of furniture, lighting, or materials.Familiarity with the design process.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Effective scheduling and multi-tasking abilities.Experience in a high-volume oriented role.Bachelor's Degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role.Experience coordinating with designers, general contractors, sales teams, and specifiers.Work Environment
The role is based in the Merch Mart, offering an in-office environment with the possibility of remote work on Fridays. It involves managing 100-140 projects at a time, emphasizing email communication.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.69 - $35.58/hr.
