DEPUTY SITE MANAGER (2025-23460):

 

Bowhead seeks a Deputy site manager to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX, to assist the project manager with daily reponsibilities. This position reports directly to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

 

 

Implements quality procedures and systems necessary to promote continuous improvement of warehousing and logistics support to meet and exceed Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.Responsible for quality assurance management and assists the PM/SM with oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel to satisfy the requirements identified in the PWS.Conducts safety inspections and provides continuous input for safety improvements.Assists with the planning, organizing, controlling, and staffing of the technical, administrative, contractual, and personnel actions required to perform the task areas as identified in the PWS.Ensures all work performed meets the PWS requirements.Works closely with the PM and COR to promptly facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of critical objectives.Supports the PM and COR by providing information related to the performance and completion of the tasks identified in the PWS.Provides overall direction, coordination, and monitoring of warehousing and logistics functions within Supply Chain Warehousing and Logistics (SCWL), including the development of standard operating procedures; continuous improvement processes; identification and enforcement of safety regulations within the warehouses; and the implementation of programs to ensure the safety and optimal performance of the workforce.Assists in developing and creating short, medium, and long-term warehousing strategies to meet our internal customers' needs, with the goal of people, process, and product improvements.Investigates and performs root cause analysis of customer concerns or service issues and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Provides responses and resolutions to the department and/or individual personnel as required.

 

Qualifications

 

A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum.Business/programmatic skills, system knowledge, and the ability to achieve mission objectives quickly and efficiently.Prior experience with management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel and subcontractors is a plus.Ability to gain cooperation to coordinate the work of others and build a cohesive team.Flexibility and capability to adjust work to operational needs and to meet emergency or changing program and/or production requirements.Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.Must be able to pass a stringent Federal criminal background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; excellent written/verbal communication skills required. Must have strong verbal and written command of English.Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen and must follow UICÆs Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requirements. Applicants may be subject to a random drug screen and must follow UICÆs Non-DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.Where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes, applicants must have a valid driver's license for this position and will be subject to verification. Additionally, the applicant must complete an in-house, online driving course to be authorized to drive for company purposes.Respond to urgent requirements or emergencies at all hours of the day/night and during weekends.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust Level (NACI). Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
