Organization Context:
The Customer Service (CS) Group provide a Customer Service center of excellence for Thales AMS product/system users in the region, with a highly capable, flexible and responsive workforce, who will work hard to provide cost competitive in-service support and services. The Deputy Project Manager – Philippines reports to the Project Manager - Philippines and is the primary in-country driver within the CS Group for CS Project Management, Customer Care and Customer Relationship Management.
Purpose of the Role:
Customer Service Deputy Project Manager – Philippines is responsible for managing and coordinating internal and external dedicated resourcing (including any subcontracted entities and the Customer) in collaboration with the permanent organisation of the Project Department. He/she leads the in-country project activities throughout the project lifecycle to the satisfaction of the different stakeholders.

Pre-contract the Deputy Project Manager – Philippines will contribute to preparing the bid and support/contribute to the negotiation with the Customer to:
Define the initial project baseline based on a viable solution and project structure regarding the Customer requirements and Company strategy/policyLaunch the solution orient phase, organize and plan the future projectCreate and validate the bid based on the stakeholders’ commitment, by managing risks and opportunities of the future projectBased on the initial project baseline, define major milestones for delivery and acceptanceConsolidate the costs and validate the whole project baseline for the bid.In-contract the Deputy Project Manager – Philippines, will:
Ensure transition to the project phase and prepare, organise and validate the project launchEstablish and update project requirements baseline collaboratively with the Project Manager – Philippines, Bid Manager and the Capture LeaderEstablish and update project execution baseline (project structure, work package descriptions, partners and supplier contractual data, management plans, costs, budgets and financial structure, resourced schedule)
Establish and update project key decision data (contingencies, strategy, business case)Initialise the project: identify the key project stakeholders, set the project team, organise the project structuring activities, start-up project activities and identify and allocate the source project requirementsContribute to aspects of the acquisition strategy: « Make or Buy » strategy, suppliers’ consultation and negotiation, contracts execution and closureContribute to the project launch review and involve all stakeholders: project teamContribute to the Management Plan and associated documents (PMP, WBS, OBS, schedule, budget allocations…), industrial scenario, project charter, team charter…In-contract the Deputy Project Manager – Philippines will execute, monitor and control the project:
Launch the work packages,Control the project in respect of the stakeholders’ commitments, while mastering risks and opportunities,Control requirements, costs and schedule during all the project life cycleManage project quality and Customer and stakeholder overall satisfactionManage legal and contractual requirements including handling disputesConduct regular progress review meetings, reporting the project progress to the Project Manager - Philippines and company senior managementClose the project (archiving of documents, closing of the expenditure authorizations) by capitalizing and sharing on enterprise experience (lessons learnt).Challenges:

QUALIFICATIONSEngineering or Commercial Degree with Management focus,
