Overview The Deputy Head of Risk and Compliance is a senior leadership role at Artex, reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, Cayman & Bermuda of Artex Capital Solutions (Cayman) Limited, Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman) Limited and Artex Insurance Company (SPC) Limited. The Deputy Head of Risk and Compliance (“HRC”) is responsible for overseeing the risk and compliance programs at Artex Capital Solutions (Cayman) Limited, and Artex Risk Solutions (Cayman) Limited (“Artex”). The HRC will be the appointed Deputy Compliance Officer and MLRO/AMLCO for Artex both in respect of corporate requirements, and for our client portfolios. This includes identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating potential risks to the business ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. The HRC will support strategies to manage risk, maintain policies, and continue to promote a culture of compliance. How you'll make an impact · Deputy Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) and Deputy Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (“AMLCO”) for Artex. · Maintain and develop policies, procedures, internal checklists, and template documents to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. · Ensure compliance with applicable group-wide Gallagher and Artex compliance requirements. · Responsible for monitoring and enhancing compliance and risk frameworks. · Primary contact with regulatory authorities. · Maintain Artex and clients’ risk assessments in respect of all risks, including financial crime, identifying changes or gaps for consideration by the Board. · Oversee and manage completion, accuracy, and timely submission of Economic Substance filings. · Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the Gallagher Way and Gallagher Behaviours. · Contribute to the achievement of the Dominant Priorities and the strategic direction of the company and Cayman growth plan. · Manage, coach, develop, and mentor junior team members contributing toward a culture of continuous learning of colleagues in local and global teams. · Oversee the client due diligence (CDD) process as part of the client onboarding framework. · Present regulatory updates at client board meetings, as required. · Monitor and assess the conduct of the compliance monitoring program. · Support and coordinate responses to regulatory inspections, audits inquiries and reporting. · Continuously develop, implement, and facilitate training programs for employees and the Board of Directors on regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, the company’s risk management and compliance policies. About you · Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, accounting, law, or related field · Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities · 5 years’ experience in similar compliance role within a regulated entity · Advanced Certificate/Diploma level ICA, CAMS or equivalent would be advantageous. · Ability to analyze complex regulatory information and provide actionable recommendations. · In-depth knowledge of regulatory environment including Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, Department of International Tax Cooperation, and Cayman Islands General Registry · Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. · Confident, strong communicator and presenter (written and verbal) · Flexibility and adaptable in a changing environment. · Insurance expertise will be advantageous.
