THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW) The Deputy Director of Data and Compliance is a supervisory position that reports to the Chief Integration Officer. In this role, the Deputy Director will work closely with School/Program administration to provide management and technical assistance for a range of critical functions. These include attendance accountability measures, Average Daily Attendance (ADA) reporting compliance, student records audits for classroom-based and independent study programs, oversight of the Student Information System (SIS), and general data reporting. Additionally, the Deputy Director will provide guidance on state regulations pertaining to enrollment, student records, and independent study. The Deputy Director of Data and Compliance regular work hours are Monday through Friday and on additional days and times as needed to participate in iLEAD functions and career learning opportunities.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum ten years of professional work experience in California school operations and/or state reporting. Experience completing State Requirements for ADA reporting and independent study compliance. Minimum seven years experience managing Student Information Systems and/or CALPADS. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations. High level of discretion with sensitive information. Knowledge of: California Education Code and related compliance areas, FERPA and student privacy rights.
