Summary You will serve as a Deputy Director in the Marine Corps Community Services of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON. Responsibilities You will serve as a technical and administrative supervisor on all aspects of Quality-of-Life programs and their support functions. You will assist the director in developing MCCS operational strategies, ensuring policy and procedural compliance, measuring the organization's performance. You will resolve internal and external operational problems not covered by established policies. You will provide direct supervision and day to day guidance to the five MCCS Division Directors. You will serve as a subject matter expert and direct advisor to senior leaders in the organization. You will communicate effectively with high-ranking military and civilian officials, commanders, and community leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following duties: 1.) Assisting the director in developing operational strategies, ensuring policy and procedural compliance, measuring the organizations performance, reviewing fund budget execution and implementing successful strategies; 2.) You will resolve personnel, financial, and operational problems that have an impact on the effectiveness of the programs; 3.) Managing a community service programs, exercising foresight, flexibility, and imaginative approaches to development, growth and change; and 4.) Communicating effectively with high-ranking military and civilian officials, commanders, and community leaders.
