Your role at Clorox:

The Team Lead for Deployment Planning plays a critical role in driving strategic business outcomes, including product availability, customer service performance, and optimized transportation costs. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Deployment Planners, guiding daily operations, and ensuring the effective movement of finished goods throughout the supply network.

In addition to managing the deployment process, the Team Lead will collaborate closely with the broader planning organization to identify risks, surface improvement opportunities, and implement more efficient, scalable processes. Success in this role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a data-driven mindset. The ideal candidate brings a balance of operational execution, proactive problem-solving, and a continuous improvement approach to support both team development and business goals.

In this role, you will:

Leadership & Team Oversight

Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Deployment Planners.Ensure workload balance, remove operational barriers, and develop team capabilities through coaching and performance management.Act as a point of escalation for deployment issues, ensuring prompt resolution and alignment with business priorities.

Strategic Deployment Management

Oversee and guide the execution of finished goods deployment across manufacturing and postponement locations, balancing cost, service levels, and inventory targets.Support and enforce decision-making frameworks that optimize demand fulfillment, transportation efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Operational Decision-Making

Lead the team in making informed decisions regarding:Demand vs. inventory balancing.Product availability across plant or supplier networks.System-driven requisition reviews and inventory discrepancy resolution.Direct plant shipments and push inventory planning.Optimization of transportation modes (truckload vs. intermodal) and cost-effective load building.

Execution & Timing

Ensure timely execution of deployment plans by managing transportation cutoffs, receiving schedules, site constraints, and regulatory considerations.Oversee the prioritization of shipments using customer priority codes and service-level agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as a liaison between deployment, supply planning, manufacturing, transportation, and customer service teams to drive aligned decisions.Facilitate resolution of complex deployment constraints and adapt plans based on real-time changes in demand, capacity, or service conditions.

Process Improvement & Efficiency

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in deployment execution, planning systems, and cross-functional collaboration.Lead initiatives to enhance transportation metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, load utilization) and inventory health across the network.Support system upgrades, automation efforts, and deployment-related enhancements.

Financial & Redeployment Impact

Evaluate redeployment decisions with a focus on cost avoidance, product availability, and operational feasibility.Ensure redeployment strategies align with broader business and financial objectives.

Project & Initiative Support

Contribute to or lead initiatives such as new product launches, process standardization, and network transitions.Support onboarding and training efforts for new planners and cross-functional stakeholders.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (Master’s or APICS certification is a plus).5+ years of supply chain or logistics planning experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive performance.Proficiency in planning and deployment tools (SAP, OMP, or similar systems preferred).Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple functions.Proactive leadership and team development.Strong execution focus with the ability to manage competing priorities.Continuous improvement mindset with an eye for scalable solutions.Cross-functional agility and decision-making under pressure.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $88,700 - $165,900–Zone B: $81,300 - $152,100–Zone C: $73,900 - $138,300
