Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Aircraft Inspector level 2/level 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Edwards AFB, CA.
You will inspect aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications. You will inspect the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product. Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. You will need to have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Your ability to analyze situations to discover facts, knowledge, interpretations to carry out prescribe actions will be vital.

Basic Qualifications:
LEVEL 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.LEVEL 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.Practical experience and use of technical data and blueprints.Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.Ability to meet medical requirements and pass a physical for worldwide travelMust have an active DoD Secret (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.Preferred Qualifications:
DoD Top Secret clearance.Operational experience is preferred over manufacturing or production, but all candidates will be considered.Airframe & Powerplant License.Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00Salary Range 2: $70,400.00 - $117,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
