As our Department Secretary, you will provide clerical support and perform basic secretarial duties to support department operations. We want you to apply now! **What you will do in this role:** + You will be responsible for projects, which include a wide-range of clerical functions. + You will establish primary contact and rapport with patients, family members and visitors. + You will identify and clarify available services and provides direction to departments and areas within the facility. + You will assist in coordinating the ordering inventory of office supplies and maintenance of office equipment. + You will answer incoming calls, handle and process inquiries, and receive and immediately greet all visitors to the department. + You will exercise good judgment in all communications and escalate issues as necessary. + You will ensure departmental files; policy and procedure manuals are up to date. **What Qualifications you will need:** + High School graduate or equivalent (GED) + Intermediate level computer experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and internet applications. + General office experience combined with good communication, organizational and prioritization skills required. + At least one year of Secretarial experience, preferably in a hospital setting. + Critical thinking, service excellence and good communication skills. + Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions.
