Department Manager II - Transplant

As Department Manager II - Transplant, you will lead a team of administrative program coordinators who serve as the primary communication hub for transplant patients throughout their Cleveland Clinic transplant journey. The Department Manager will ensure efficient, thoughtfully designed patient flow; build intensive, multi-channel communication standards across clinical and non-clinical teams; design and establish white-glove service models; and create a team mindset oriented toward lean principles. **A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with one day per week on-site requirement at Main Campus.** **Occasional travel to Florida approximately three times per year.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Manage department personnel and operations, including staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management. + Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives. + Monitor quality and financial performance. + Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards. + Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies. + Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure and policy application. + Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service. + Analyze programs and make improvements. + Participate in meetings and relevant committees as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field and four years of supervisory or management experience OR Master's Degree and three years of experience OR Associate's Degree and six years of experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Assessing and enhancing complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty patient flows. + Demonstrated success in lean process design with or without 'belt' certification. + Patient navigation experience in an Epic environment Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
