Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Four-year college/university degree preferably in accounting or its equivalent trainingAt least ten (10) year-experience of managerial or supervisory function in accounting and/or related field, preferably in banking industryKnowledgeable in accounting standards and principles (Local, International and JGAAP)Proficient in local regulations relating to banking (SEC, BIR, BSP, PDIC)Good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office applications, especially ExcelDuties and Responsibilities:
Identify and recommends Branch’s and/or departmental strategies to meet current and/or emerging business needs, changes in Head Office policies/programs, national, local and tax regulatory requirements.Perform and implement revision of operational systems/ processes/policies, structural review of the department’s organization and/or succession planning in order to meet and/or contribute to Branch’s over-all targets.In-charge of overall staff performance management, coaching and manpower assessment/recruitment.Ensures that Bank’s books of accounts are fair and accurate, including proper taxation of all bank transactions.Ensures that various audits, including financial and BIR audits are conducted properly.Reviews and ensures all reports required by Head Office, BSP, BIR and other regulatory agencies are complied with.Collaborates with related departments, regional and Head Office counterparts, including external counterparts like regulatory agencies to achieve unit’s/team’s targets.Ensures proper safekeeping of important documents, articles and negotiable instruments applicable to the department.Performs other tasks that supervising officer may assign from time to time.Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
