The Department of Epidemiology is home to a robust research portfolio and large student base making it the largest department in the School of Public Health. The department manages approximately $80 million in research funding, a yearly operational budget of roughly $8 million, 50 faculty, 120 research and administrative staff, and 50 academic appointments. This position will serve in an advanced administrative capacity for budget planning, fiscal administration, personnel management, and other administrative and managerial responsibilities associated with departmental research, training, and service activities. The incumbent must be able to act independently to determine, interpret, and execute Department, School and University policies and procedures. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work well under pressure, is organized and can prioritize multiple deadlines, and someone that can be viewed as a leader and a resource for the entire Department of Epidemiology. Prior academic administrative or research administration highly preferred
