This position is located and reports on-site in Tallahassee, FL
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
+ Assist in coordination of the development of the department’s legislative package and legislation affecting the department including being responsible for: analysis of the department’s legislative package; analysis of all legislation affecting the department; responds to request from members of the legislature, legislative staff, and committee staff on matters pertaining to bill concerning the agency.
+ Responds to requests for information from legislators, legislative staff, and committee staff about the department and its programs; assist in constituent services.
+ Act as representative from Office of Legislative Affairs in meetings as needed
+ Assist in administrative duties such as: coordinating meetings, legislative tracking and analysis, constituent services tracking, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of various computer and graphics programs. Ability to perform assignments under limited supervision. Ability to work well with others.

This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Pay:
$45,000 to $50,000
