Dental Traveling Operations Manager
**Overview** **Traveling Operations Manager – Dental Practices (RCM & AR Focus)** **_Must Have Current/Previous DSO Experience_** We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Traveling Operations Manager** with deep expertise in **Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)** and **Accounts Receivable (AR)** to support dental practices across the country. This travel-based role plays a key part in improving financial operations, streamlining billing processes, and reducing AR days to enhance overall practice performance. **This is an excellent opportunity for a dental operations professional who thrives in identifying revenue cycle inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions across multi-site practices.** **Responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct on-site assessments of billing, collections, and AR workflows to identify breakdowns and opportunities for improvement. + Develop and implement customized action plans for improving **claim submission accuracy, denial management, AR follow-up, and payment posting** . + Train and coach office teams on best practices in **dental insurance verification, benefits breakdowns, claim follow-up, and financial reporting** . + Ensure each practice is compliant with internal controls, payer regulations, and company-wide RCM standards. + Support the implementation of tools, templates, and processes that drive consistency and efficiency across all aspects of revenue cycle operations. + Monitor AR aging reports and key financial metrics; provide ongoing feedback and weekly reporting to the Key Leadership Team. + Identify and mentor internal staff members capable of maintaining improvements in RCM performance after your on-site support concludes. + Collaborate with centralized billing teams or external partners, where applicable, to ensure full alignment and accountability. **Qualifications** **Required Skills & Qualifications:** + **5+ years of experience** in dental revenue cycle management, billing, or AR oversight, with at least 2 years in a leadership or training role. + Proven ability to improve **AR aging, reduce claim denials, and increase collection rates** in a dental setting. + Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes, EOB interpretation, patient billing, and HIPAA compliance. + Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI. + Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to train and motivate front-office and billing staff to follow standardized procedures and meet performance targets. + Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted. **Travel Requirement:** + **75% travel** required within the U.S. Must be willing and able to travel to assigned dental practices for on-site operational support and training. \#ACI **About Affordable Care** Founded in 1975, today Affordable Care, LLC is America’s largest dental support organization (DSO) focused on tooth replacement services, serving more than 400 dental practices across the United States.
