Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Dental Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced, customer-facing practice. This role focuses on managing complex dental billing processes, claims attachments, pre-determinations for treatment coverage, and all other administrative steps unique to dental billing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong communication skills, has direct dental billing experience, and is accustomed to working in an open and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Dental Billing Expertise: Process dental-specific claims accurately, ensuring all required documents, coding, and attachments are completed and submitted within specified deadlines.
+ Pre-Determinations: Manage pre-determination requests for dental treatments, including navigating insurance requirements for advanced or specialized dental procedures.
+ Claims Attachments: Compile, prepare, and submit claims attachments and required paperwork for insurance companies, ensuring compliance with dental-specific documentation protocols.
+ Customer Interaction: Work closely with patients, insurance companies, and resolve billing inquiries promptly and professionally. Maintain a courteous and patient-first approach in customer-facing scenarios.
+ Compliance: Stay updated on dental billing codes, insurance regulations, and healthcare compliance standards to ensure accuracy and precision in work execution.
+ Team Collaboration: Work in a highly collaborative, open-office environment alongside front-facing staff and other departments to ensure seamless operational functioning.
+ Multi-Step Processes: Navigate the more intricate and multi-step requirements of dental billing compared to other healthcare settings accurately and efficiently.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of dental billing experience is required. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with dental billing software and general proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Customer Service: Solid customer service experience in client-facing settings, with excellent communication skills. Work Environment: Comfort with working in an open, team-oriented front-office space while maintaining professionalism with colleagues and patient
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of dental insurance processes, including handling claims with multiple steps for coverage approvals. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental pre-determinations and navigating insurance for specialized treatments or procedures.
