As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) you will assist the Dentist in examining and treating patients and become part of a strong and positive team focused on helping others. SPECIFIC DUTIES: + Assists dentists or dental hygienist in transfer of instruments utilizing standard dental assisting principles. Including “4 handed” dentistry in preparation and delivering dental materials and instruments. + Take digital radiographs to assist in oral evaluation and treatment planning. + Follow established protocols for disinfecting and sterilizing operatories and dental instruments. + Promotes teamwork and fosters cooperation among dental staff. Creates a patient centered environment in which we make all attempts necessary to schedule and treat patients in a timely manner. + Takes vital signs and reviews and updates patient history as directed. Lays out appropriate instruments for procedures and provides emergency evaluation of patients when necessary. + Restocks the rooms as necessary. + Represents the Agency in the community.
