This role will act as a team leader of the statistical analyst team and serve as the corporate expert on forecast modeling, machine learning, and AI-driven planning. As a strategic member of the Demand Planning COE, the individual will be responsible for delivering high-performing statistical models, reducing manual overrides, and ensuring forecast accuracy across global markets and portfolios. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical forecasting skills, experience leading in matrixed environments, and a passion for applying data science to planning challenges. **How You'll Create Impact** **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** **Statistical Forecasting Leadership** + Lead the centralization of global statistical forecasting activities to drive consistency, scale, and efficiency. + Own and refine statistical & machine learning forecast models in SAP IBP (Demand), ensuring optimal model selection, segmentation logic, and parameter tuning. + Develop a governance framework for forecast accuracy validation, model performance monitoring, and market-level feedback integration. **AI & Machine Learning Enablement** + Serve as the internal expert on applying machine learning and AI to improve demand planning outcomes. + Partner with the Data & Analytics team to develop predictive insights, automation solutions, and explainable forecasting logic. + Stay current on AI trends and help shape the long-term forecasting roadmap to include next-generation capabilities. **Override Governance & Forecast Accuracy** + Identify and reduce excessive manual overrides through model performance coaching, override thresholds, and best practice documentation. + Driving education and coaching to ensure analysts and planners understand, trust, and apply model outputs effectively. + Measure and report on forecast accuracy, bias, and override rate trends, recommending corrective actions as needed. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** + Partner with the COE leads to support model configuration, and override visibility in SAP IBP. + Collaboration with IT around dashboard development, model management, and planner-level reporting. + Present data analysis findings to stakeholders **What Makes You Stand Out** **Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills and abilities)** + Hands-on experience with SAP IBP (Demand module), forecasting tools, and Python/R-based modeling + Proven ability to lead through influence in a global matrixed environment + Skilled in planning performance improvement through analytics, transparency, and capability building + Strong communication and storytelling ability to translate complex models into actionable insights + Experience with Power BI or equivalent reporting platforms preferred **Your Background** **Education/Experience Requirements** + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field + 5+ years of experience in demand forecasting, data science, or supply chain analytics + Strong working knowledge of statistical modeling, time series analysis, and ML algorithms **Travel Expectations** 10-15% Travel Expected EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
