Job DescriptionWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Manages a team responsible for developing and maintaining a demand (sales) forecast for finished goods and parts & supplies to drive financial and inventory decisions to support a multi-billion dollar business unit. This position requires hands-on collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to understand product lifecycle management strategies, macroeconomic and end-customer-specific demand, supply chain capabilities, and corporate financial targets.
Responsibilities:
Fosters an environment that promotes advanced forecasting, economic knowledge, and statistical expertise in preparing a sales forecast in units and dollars. Leads the demand planning consensus process for complex and highly visible products, incorporating new business, promotions, external market factors, and new product introductions. Builds relationships with sales, marketing, finance, and product management to gather the necessary information and drive forecasting accountability throughout the organization. Determines the best metrics to use to measure the pulse of the team and ensure forecast quality. Develops new and innovative methods of analyzing data and determines which methods to apply. Implements proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks for forecasting. Ensures proper execution of defined forecasting processes and procedures. Manages all aspects of leading and developing team members. QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Finance or Mathematics a plus. Prefer Master's Degree; Requires at least 8 years related experience, preferably in Supply Chain or Demand Planning.Requires an exceptional understanding of statistical methodologies, strong abilities in forecasting and maintaining demand planning systems, and strong skills with SAP/APO or another advanced planning system. Expert knowledge of Supply Chain Management and working in a consensus, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment. Extensive knowledge of best practices in demand planning and proven analytical capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills. Ability to effectively lead teams, and work in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and solid cross company relationship building abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.WHAT WE OFFER

The compensation range for this position is approximately $xxk - $xxk and will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and education.
