About the Role…
The Demand Analyst for Beech-Nut Nutrition Company is part of the Sales and Operations Planning team and reports to the Sr. Manager of Plan and Deliver and is responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and planning product demand to ensure that the company can meet customer needs while optimizing inventory and production costs. As a Demand Analyst you will manage the development, review and communication of the demand plan, to support annual and monthly business planning, on-going tactical planning (trade and consumer events), as well as the attainment of inventory, customer service, and cost objectives.

The team is responsible for building strong relationships with our key customers, ensuring forecasts and sales plans are reflective of the most up to date information to keep our customers supplied and shelves full, keeping our customers supplied with actionable insights to manage our shared business, and managing our customer order processing. The team works diligently to understand what our customers want and need so we can deliver high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!

About the Work Environment…
This position is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes two days a week in the office when on-site. The candidate may work remotely from a tri-state area for convenience, but must be willing to travel to the Amsterdam, New York LEED® certified production facility.
Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.
What You’ll Do…
Demand Forecasting:
+ Gather historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts for products.
+ Work with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate factors such as promotional campaigns, new product launches, and market changes into the forecast.
+ Develop and maintain an 18-month brand rolling platform forecast by customer segment, SKU, distribution center, and month.
S&OP Process:
+ Participate in the S&OP meetings to align demand plans with supply chain capabilities.
+ Collaborate with other departments (sales, marketing, production, supply chain) to align forecast data and ensure supply meets demand.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
+ Analyze demand trends, monitor performance against forecasts, and identify any gaps or discrepancies.
+ Create reports and dashboards to inform stakeholders about demand planning accuracy, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans as needed to reflect changing trends and priorities.
Inventory Management:
+ Ensure inventory levels align with demand forecasts to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
+ Work with the supply chain team to optimize inventory replenishment based on demand forecasts.
Collaboration with Sales and Marketing:
+ Regularly engage with the sales and marketing teams to gather insights on upcoming promotions, product launches, and market changes.
+ Adjust forecasts based on promotional activities and other demand-shaping events.
+ Communicate forecast updates, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Process Improvement:
+ Continuously work on improving demand forecasting methods, tools, and accuracy.
+ Implement best practices for demand planning and contribute to the overall efficiency of the S&OP process.
+ Leverage planning tools and systems to streamline forecasting workflows

What You’ll Need…
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Business, Operations/Logistics, Math/Statistics, Marketing).
+ 5 years of consumer goods or related experience required
+ +3 years’ experience in a forecasting role
+ Forecasting Software: Above average skills using ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, advanced Excel)
+ Above average skills in Microsoft Office required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
+ Analytical Skills: Ability to work with large sets of data to derive actionable insights.
+ Communication Skills: Must effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
+ Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies between forecasts and actual demand.
+ Industry Knowledge: Experience within CPG is highly preferred, as understanding the dynamics of consumer demand in this industry is key.
+ Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
+ Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail, accuracy, and delivering high-quality results under deadlines.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and gain credibility with team members and senior leaders.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently by handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, prioritizing appropriately, and responding to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude

Pay: The annual base salary range for this hybrid role is $72,000-88,000. This is a salaried-exempt position.
