JOB SUMMARY:
Leads and drives continuous improvement to Polaris ORV demand planning processes. Demonstrated ability to develop plans and recommendations that influence key business leaders based on knowledge and data. Develops consistent & highly accurate retail forecasts used to support ship planning that is integrated with Retail Flow Management and dealer inventory profiles using various forecasting tools and methodologies, including Blue Yonder statistical model and trend analysis. Integrates and improves cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to develop and execute the 18-month Demand Plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and recommends the 18-month ORV Demand PlanUses trend analysis, Blue Yonder Statistical forecast software, sales & promotional inputs, competitive info, and leadership input to develop a consistently accurate retail plan and industry forecast.Responsible for the analysis, execution, and consolidation of product line, segment, and marketing name forecastsIntegrates dealer profiles, order forecasts, and dealer inventory targets to develop the ship planCommunicates worldwide ship demand plan to scheduling & manufacturing to drive build requirementsCommunicates industry, retail, & ship plan including risks & opportunities to ORV leadershipLeads monthly cross-functional Portfolio Review meeting to align on product, price, mix, and volume strategies.Recommends and champions continuous improvement of overall ORV demand planning processesKey stakeholder in the SIOP Transformation strategy, including future enhancements to support the businessDevelops clear and consistent processes across business categories and channelsEnsures high data integrity and quality of other team inputs.Uses critical thinking and influencing skills to assist ORV Mgmt in driving business decisionsCollaborates with teammates to optimize demand plansAssist cross-functional partners in regularly providing data and analysis on retail/order/ship forecasts; dealer inventory & DSO (days stock on hand) analysis.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required3+ years’ experience in business analyticsDemand planning/forecasting experience is highly preferred, but not requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and oralStrong analytical skillsAbility to work successfully within a team, cross-functionally, and independentlyAbility to navigate ambiguity by demonstrating strong analytic, strategic, innovative thinking, and problem solvingProven track record of organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects in a fast-paced environmentHigh proficiency in ExcelExperience with statistical forecast tools to create demand plans is preferred, but not requiredPower BI and Alteryx preferred, but not requiredWORKING CONDITIONS
Hybrid office/remote environment.Some travel ~10%Location – Bass Creek (Headquarters)The starting pay range for Minnesota is $71,000 to $91,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
