About the Role

This role is responsible for running demand planning process to facilitate weekly/ monthly S&OP meetings with Integrated business planning lead and to align a consensus 18+month demand plan with Sales, Marketing and Finance. It is responsible for maintaining system/ tools for statistical baseline, and managing building blocks triangulation from demand indicators, new product introductions, promotions, price elasticity reflection and any other commercial activity that may affect demand.

While responsible for S&OP and Demand planning, it needs to ensure a balance on all aspects and trade-offs of supply, including collaboration with supply on right inventory levels and minimizing out of stocks, whilst delivering a responsive supply chain that fulfils Sales forecasts with key stakeholders in the markets

Top Accountabilities

Operation excellence on the S&OP/IBP process in Market

Implement and sustain demand forecasting operational processes. It contains running statistical forecasting, incremental volumes building blocks analysis and calculations (e.g. consumption analysis, price elasticity analysis, share trend analysis, in-store activity / promotions volume calculations, Stock in Trade analysis, innovation pipeline volume calculations etc.)Run and maintain the forecasting tool/ system for rolling statistical/ base forecastEnsure solid building block assumptions built into forecast model per historical trends and key stakeholders’ inputAnalyse and manage base & overlay assumptions with cross functional teamsLand the generation & agreement of 18-24 month rolling demand plan on SKU/Location level in weekly and monthly bucketsCommunicate critical changes and escalation for quick resolutionProvide visibility and rational prediction to support business decisions

Continuous improvement on Process and Forecasting results

Propose demand forecasting segmentation and targeted demand strategy.Conduct deviation analysis, PDCA on Forecast Accuracy KPIsSupport system/automate tools/analytics developments and advance planning platform transitionPartner with global/ regional function teams to implement best practice ways of working.

Experience / skills required

Good knowledge, management and coordination of S&OP processProven experience in designing, implementing, and executing Demand Planning statistical baseline plus building block processesAbility to foster effective relationships, especially with senior stakeholders and demonstrate strong leadership and influencing skillsProficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, VBA, Power BI etc., and have strong data analysis skillsSAP APO working knowledge is a must. Experience in SAP, Anaplan, OMP would be an advantageExceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentationGood understanding of end-to-end supply chain and cross functions’ interfaceHighly organised and self-motivated, with an ability to anticipate, effectively prioritise and progress workload.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across various levels of the organizationResilient to maintain composure and efficiency in difficult conversations
