Updated: 09/28/2023 Role Definition Supports customer inquiries for order lead time and order configuration change. Responsible for new orders and order change, make sure requests can be successfully received by order system. Responsibilities • Supervising and controlling new sales orders, identifying the key elements and communicate downstream for required actions. • Auditing order change requests from customers, evaluate acceptance of the order change request from a material, production plan, technical and logistics perspective. • Serving as primary contact for customer inquiries; providing feedback about lead time, planned timeline, order change, order reschedules, etc. • Aligned customers order with Sales production plan to achieve the monthly goal. • Primary contact with other departments department to manage sales and customer priorities. Degree Requirement Degree or equivalent experience desired Skill Descriptors Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. Level Working Knowledge: • Follows proper data gathering and analysis processes and policies. • Reports problems that arise in the data collection process. • Participates in gathering and analyzing an organization's data based on requirements. • Documents data from various sources and in various formats. • Utilizes basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques. Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Level Working Knowledge: • Contributes to short-term operational plans. • Anticipates and adapts to plan changes. • Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives. • Reports variances and makes agreed-upon corrections. • Under guidance, develops tactical plan for own direct responsibility. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Level Working Knowledge: • Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance. • Makes a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions. • Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams, etc. to disclose meaningful data patterns. • Identifies the major forces, events and people impacting and impacted by the situation at hand. • Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of the data and arrive at conclusions. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Demand Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense, predict, plan for and manage the demand for products and services. Level Working Knowledge: • Assists in the collection and preparation of required demand information. • Participates in the preparation of short-term demand management for a specific product or site. • Produces basic demand management reports for senior staff to reconcile the demand balances. • Summarizes and reports problems such as issues and concerns currently existing in demand management operations. • Uses tools, with guidance, to predict and plan demand, assess seasonal factors and trends and effectively influence demand. Forecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads. Level Working Knowledge: • Participates in preparation of short-term forecasts for a specific product or site. • Gathers and analyzes demand data with specific tools and procedures. • Locates useful information and sources of input used in weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts. • Researches seasonal trends for a major product or product line. • Explains common types of business conditions and activities that impact demand.
