Demand Insights Manager, Confectionery

Make It Possible** This is a role in the Commercial E2E Organization that will support the Consumption-based forecast for Confections and own the Post-CDR views for IBP. You will oversee the development of the consumption, untracked and inventory forecasts for Confections for the Demand Planning team over a rolling 2 Year horizon. You will leverage your expertise and macro-view perspective to lead the Confections Demand Planning Team in creating a forecast and supporting information (e.g. Cx bridge) for the demand review process. You will also lead the LTCP Forecasting process for Confectionery by maintaining the functionality of LTCP forecast files, supporting the Confections Demand Leads in their forecast updates and validating the output to be used in long-term capacity analyses. This role will also support business-wide data collection and reporting needs for the Demand Forecasting tool BUDDI and its reporting arm, BUDDIBOARD. Incorporating the latest Category calls, Cx $$/Lb inputs and GR/Lb inputs are examples of some of the needs. This role reports into the Consumption and Category Rack-Up Lead. The right candidate is highly data-driven and results-oriented, thinks strategically, builds trust and relationships, and is a strong communicator. This person will need to be able to manage high complexity seamlessly, and drive accuracy through macro assumptions/insights. We are looking for someone who can be a master of execution and project management, ensuring that deadlines are met across forecasting. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and instinctive, with a natural ability to solve problems and seek new information. **Main Responsibilities** Cross-functional collaboration, management and Influence on inputs and planning assumptions Forecast Collaboration + Assist the team with Consumption-based Forecasting for the Confectionery Categories and partner with Sales, RGM, Commercial/Growth, Demand Planning, and Finance to include key planning inputs that drive the Consumption Forecast + Understand insights from Commercial Insights and Analytics teams for the Category Growth Assumptions and also competitive results that could impact the consumption forecast Forecast Management + Drive key IBP and supporting process steps in the monthly process to continuously update and validate planning assumptions and provide input and challenges to the team + Apply a net change approach, tracking changes in planning assumptions each month + Use the Mondelez business driver methodology to communicate the forecast, changes month over month and changes versus key benchmarks (AC/Financial forecasts) Forecast Influence + Remain an unbiased voice in the face of business pressures + Identify risks and opportunities to the forecast, provide business recommendations and collaborate on gap closing opportunities, influencing leadership as needed in order to pursue sufficient gap closing activity **More about this role** **What you need to know about this position:** + Minimum 6 years of experience in Supply Chain / Customer Service & Logistics/Marketing + Minimum 3 years of experience in Planning (Sales/Demand/Supply) with a strong understanding of consumption forecasting (Nielsen or IRI) **What extra ingredients you will bring:** + Strong working knowledge of Integrated Business Planning process + Strong business acumen and ability to see the big picture + Excellent influencing and interpersonal savviness, with ability to tailor messages to different audiences **Education / Certifications:** + Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred **Job specific requirements:** + Ability to work and drive decision-making in an incredibly fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment with action-orientation and drive + Possess extreme attention to detail, a sense of urgency, reliability, and commitment to mastering your work + Demonstrates strong judgment in decision making and has exceptional time management and prioritization skills **Travel requirements:** + Less than 10% travel **Salary:** The base salary range for this position is $106,300 to $141,900; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
