What You Can Expect
The Demand Controller, Russia&CIS is responsible for the following main functions:
1. The Demand Controller liaises with the Commercial, local Marketing, Demand Planning, and GCO team to ensure that short term changes to the demand plan are reviewed and communicated while ensuring that accurate delivery expectations are set.
2. This role will also be a supporting role in the demand process ensuring the linkage between all the various groups occurs and any short-term issues are quickly resolved.
3. Monitor and advise recommended action plans to ensure accurate forecasting.
4. Material Master Data management.
• Plan/Fact analysis and root cause analysis for short term forecast deviation
• Prepare management reports identifying any relevant problems and recommending solutions that will improve future demand plans
• Help to detect and resolve one-off effects (HIE, abnormal demand and others) and other effects in the demand history that have the potential to reduce the data quality for later statistical projection steps
• Plan for instruments and participate in demand review meetings
• Interact with all local departments including marketing, sales, distributors, and to ensure smooth demand planning process
• Participate in New Product Implementation
• Lead meetings with local team and discussions of month end results
• Provide daily support to distributors for all the forecast and supply related questions
• Track Material Master data changes relevant to Demand Planning in SAP and in the other databases.
• Execute ad-hoc reports, analysis, requests to support activities of the other departments.
• Monitor ATP (Available to Promise) process/logic and regularly review if the process/logic is adapted to business needs
• Facilitate meetings to align demand/supply
• Work with appropriate partners to make timely decisions on demand changes within the designated demand time fence
• Validate that fully approved demand changes inside the time fence are entered quickly and accurately into the ERP system; ensure changes that are not reviewed and approved are identified, removed, and communicated back to the originator
• Measure performance and trends related to Demand Control and communicate the results of demand performance with the Business and Demand Planning
• Monitor forecast consumption and roll logic and regularly review if the logic is adapted to business needs
• High level of interpersonal culture
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated when working with various level individuals from different geographies and functional disciplines.
• Able to work independently and achieve goals with limited direction and oversight.
• High degree of intellectual curiosity. Should enjoy solving problems and continually learning.
Your Background
• Higher technical education such as Engineering, IT, Mathematics, Logistics, Economics.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in roles requiring a high degree of analytical proficiency (Planning, Purchasing etc.).
• Exceptional analytical skills
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel and other large database programs.
• Russian – native, English - fluent (not less than Upper-Intermediate)
