Job Summary: 

 

As a Delivery Lead at Caterpillar Digital, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the CAT Central Mobile App. The CAT Central Mobile App is a comprehensive digital platform designed to support Caterpillar equipment owners by providing easy access to maintenance support, genuine Cat parts ordering, equipment insights, and self-service tools. This app enables users to troubleshoot issues, receive service recommendations, view equipment manuals, and perform DIY repairs, all from a single mobile interface. In this role, you will lead Agile teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure that the CAT Central Mobile App is delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality, supporting Caterpillar’s broader digital transformation strategy. 

 

What You Will Do: 

 

CAT Central Mobile App Delivery 

Lead the successful delivery of the CAT Central Mobile App, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely execution, and high-quality outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage the app's development lifecycle from planning through release.  

Stakeholder Coordination 

Serve as the primary point of contact between digital product teams and business stakeholders. Translate business needs into actionable delivery plans and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.  

Program & Timeline Management 

Oversee delivery timelines and ensure milestones are met. Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.  

Team Enablement & Support 

Remove impediments and ensure teams have the resources and support needed to succeed. Coach and mentor team members to promote skill development and high performance.  

Continuous Improvement 

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and implementing best practices. Leverage feedback and metrics to optimize team performance and delivery efficiency.  

Program Increment (PI) Planning 

Lead PI planning sessions to align teams on objectives and deliverables for each increment. Ensure plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with Caterpillar’s strategic goals.  

Progress Tracking & Reporting 

Monitor team progress using Agile metrics and tools. Provide transparent and timely updates to leadership and stakeholders.  

Risk & Quality Management 

Proactively identify and manage risks that could impact delivery. Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement processes to maintain high-quality deliverables. 

 

What You Will Have: 

 

Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. 
Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects. 
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 
Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. 
Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design). 
IT Project Control and Reporting: Knowledge of project control and reporting; ability to monitor the vital signs of an IT project while managing its progress and delivery schedule. 
IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources. 
IT Standards, Procedures & Policies: Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) standards and policies; ability to utilize a variety of administrative skill sets and technical knowledge to manage organizational IT policies, standards, and procedures. 
 

Considerations For Top Candidates: 

 Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. OR equivalent working experience 

Experience in digital delivery or project management, preferably in a large enterprise or industrial setting.  

Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.  

Experience with digital platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems.  

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.  

Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent are a plus. 

Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.  

Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
