Delivery Driver

Wagners has a new opportunity available for a Delivery Driver with a HR licence at our Northgate Steel site to provide an efficient service transporting steel product orders while providing a great experience for our valuable customers.

This position is a full time role Monday to Friday.

Rates $32.80 - $34.85 per hour + super + penalties + overtime when required.

What you’ll be doing

Conduct a thorough prestart on your truck and crane upon commencing your shiftLiaise with office staff to determine the load requirements for the day including, number of drops, delivery times, site details and load particularsSelect the mesh, fabrications and associated products of customer orders and work with the team to load products onto a crane equipped body truckDeliver customer orders and unload products in suitable and safe locations on siteDuring quiet times for deliveries, work with the steel production team on tasks relating to stores and yard work, cutting, bending and bundling steel products.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

HR Licence or above and extensive experience in driving a body truckDogging Licence (DG) to operate the crane on the truck, or agree to undertake trainingClear driving record and willingness to drive in accordance with legal diving practices, and display courtesy to fellow road usersDesire to provide great customer service which contributes to growing our business and enhancing Wagners excellent reputation in the communityDemonstrated high level time management and good planning skills to ensure customer orders are loaded and delivered on time
