We have an immediate need for a Delivery Assurance/Expeditor on site at a supplier for our customer. This position is in Chicago, IL. The primary focus of this role is to provide onsite support providing delivery information to our customer hourly/daily/weekly.
What You will Do:
Daily interaction with operations, planning, program management of parts for magnesium castings.Monitor the daily activities involving the release and tracking of parts.Provide oversight of parts to be released and management of parts that have delayed releaseCommunicate potential shipping delays including identifying root cause with suppliers on delays and establish recovery plans to bring shipments back online through e-mail and phone communications.Work with operations to understand their build plans and requirements via SAP and relate this to OTDWork with program office on reporting status to internal customers.Line of Balance (WIP) reportingWeekly reports covering accomplishments, roadblocks and forward-looking supportFacilitates implementation of need-based solutions.
Work Experience
How You Will Get Here:
3-5 years' experience in production planning Shop floor experienceStrong communication skills and comfortable working with customersExperience in production planning, tracking, and release of partsAbility to assist in Root Cause Analysis for part delaysStrong MS Office skills SAP experience and working with related ERP systemsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work & interact at all levels of an organization Shop floor experiencePhysical Requirements & Work Environment:
