Job Summary
In collaboration with the Supervisor of Degree Audits, reviews and ensures the completion of all degree requirements for each degree candidate prior to the awarding of the degree.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ On behalf of the Registrar’s Office, will audit Degree Progress Reports at the completion of each term to ensure all academic requirements have been met prior to the awarding of a student’s degree.
+ Assists with the planning and setup of fall and spring commencement ceremonies. These responsibilities include assignment of seating cards, commencement programs, honor cords and processing all student related commencement fees.
+ Work in collaboration with various academic units across campus to ensure all degree requirements have been completed prior to awarding the degree.
+ Assist with the diploma mailing process. This includes, the mailing of diplomas and inventory control of items associated with the process.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least six months related office clerical work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work with multiple departments across campus.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to use Microsoft Word.
Preferred Qualifications
One to two years experience of working in a higher education environment and experience working with excel spreadsheets and PeopleSoft Student information system.
