JOB DESCRIPTION As a Deal Support Specialist I, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales organization by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of internal support requests in Salesforce. This entry-level position is focused on assisting the sales team with preparing and sending quotes to customers, following best practices around the quoting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency. You will build foundational knowledge in quoting, customer needs, and sales processes while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a team player who strives to support and help drive success within an organization. The Deal Support Representative will be responsible for partnering with the sales teams to assist with creating customer-facing documents a customer would sign to acknowledge a purchase (a Quote). They will also be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data in our CRM (Salesforce.com). The ideal candidate will have order support or experience working with sales teams in a support capacity. Additionally, excellent verbal communication and a passion or interest in supporting sales teams, technology and process support/development are required to perform the role. The individual we are looking for has the complete package – a self-starter always striving to be better, full of integrity, strong attention to detail and loves technology. Core Requirements and Responsibilities: Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following Provide support to the Sales team by completing routine internal requests in Salesforce, primarily focused on generating accurate quotes Monitor and triage sales request ticket queue Maintain a basic understanding of the sales process, including product catalogs, basic finance and billing concepts, and contract terms and conditions Learn and utilize best practices around the quoting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency Proactively identify customer issues and apply problem-solving skills to resolve challenges promptly Communicate clearly and concisely with customers and team members to gather relevant information for issue resolution Identify process gaps and data issues and partner with Management to resolve Ensure a positive customer experience by addressing inquiries in a professional and friendly manner Foster a collaborative work environment within the department and assist peers as needed Develop an understanding of Vertafore’s products and solutions, and how they meet customer business needs Additional tasks and projects as assigned
