HOW A DDN NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network problems.
Provides network/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
May provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
Knowledge of Data Center and Virtualization
Knowledge of Automation techniques and structure
Participates in special projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceRequired Experience: 20+ years of related Network Engineering experience. Required Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols, Cisco IOS software and hardware features, ability to configure and troubleshoot Multicast, and knowledge and experience with VoIP/collaboration systemsSecurity Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibilityRequired Skills and Abilities: Must possess a completed CCNA certification.Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II accessLocation: Hampton, Virginia
