Job Summary:
As a Service Engineer, you will serve as a key technical support contact for customers, assisting with service contracts, project execution, and technical solutions. You will guide customers on preventative maintenance, fixing, and system optimization to enhance product performance and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will coordinate with Emerson personnel and service activities to meet customer expectations.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of DeltaV control systems for industrial processes. Solve and resolve technical issues related to DeltaV systems, both remotely and on-site. Work with multi-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of DeltaV systems with existing infrastructures. Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams on DeltaV systems. Stay updated on latest developments in DeltaV technology and recommend improvements to enhance system performance. Support project execution by assisting with planning, testing, and implementation activities. Perform routine service and maintenance tasks based on customer schedules. Conduct system health checks and provide recommendations for system enhancements. Work with senior engineers and Emerson’s technical teams to address complex technical challenges. Ensure all business processes and documentation (timesheets, site visit reports, and technical reports) align with Emerson’s internal procedures. Promote Emerson’s service offerings and find opportunities to enhance customer support.Who you are?
Strong understanding of industrial control systems and process automation. Hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining DeltaV or similar DCS platforms. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to solve technical issues efficiently. A proactive approach with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to customer needs.For this Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering (Control, Instrumentation, Computer engineering, Electronics, etc.). Minimum of 4 years’ experience in oil & gas Industry 2 years of experience with DCS DeltaV or equivalent automation systems. Knowledge of DeltaV system configuration is preferred. Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Ability to work closely with customers and teams to identify potential quality and efficiency improvements. Sound understanding of Emerson Systems and Software. Knowledge of automation and control systems in process industries. Willingness to travel and be present at customer sites in Iraq.
