DBS Front End Engineer, DBS
Description Amazon Devices is seeking a Front End Engineer to join our Brand Studio Systems & Scale team. Brand Studio creates digital assets that engage and attract customers on Amazon.com and in Retail Stores for new device offerings. As a Front End Engineer, you will develop web-based tools, automation solutions, and Figma plugins that streamline design processes and enhance our design system's infrastructure through AI-driven innovations. This role requires someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively with designers and engineers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving design workflows through automation, AI-driven solutions, and innovative tooling. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience - 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience - 3+ years of professional software development experience - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web development technologies - Experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications - Understanding of design systems and component libraries - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) - * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications - 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience - Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node - Experience with AI/ML technologies and automation tools - Experience developing Figma plugins or similar design tool extensions - Knowledge of design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) - Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices - Knowledge of native desktop app development - Experience with React or similar modern JavaScript frameworks - Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams - Experience with TypeScript and modern build tools - Knowledge of accessibility standards and implementation - Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation - Experience with AWS CDK - Knowledge of image processing and resizing - Experience with performance optimization and testing frameworks Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
