Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Mainframe DB2 z/OS Administrator to join our Fortune 500 client, an IT infrastructure services provider. Responsibilities will include DB2 version upgrade planning, coordination, and implementation for current and future releases across all agencies, DB2 performance tuning (buffer pools, storage, I/O times etc), Software maintenance and upgrades (CA tools etc), and contingency recovery and system backup and recovery. You will be tasked with maintaining, resolving, monitoring, and troubleshooting, DB2 and z/OS system level performance issues. You will be responsible for quickly resolving outages and working directly with IBM to resolve product issues and open cases. Skills and Requirements 5+ years experience of DB2 upgrade planning, coordination, implementation, and performance tuning (buffer pools, storage, I/O times etc) Experience completing software maintenance and upgrades Experience working on contingency recovery and system backup and recovery Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, resolving, and monitoring DB2 and z/OS systems Strong communication skills and reliability Proficiency in the following tech stack: o QMF v7 through V13 o IBM DB2 TOOLS though V1310 o IBM DataStudio o Platinum Tools / Omegamon for DB2 o CA Insight, Detector & DB2 Tools o COBOL programming null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
