The role focuses on designing, optimizing, and automating database solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and internal user experience while providing expert consulting across workstreams. **What you'll be doing** + Administer and develop database structures in Db2 to support innovative and scalable solutions + Proactively analyze database performance and implement targeted tuning measures to maximize efficiency and reliability + Act as a database consultant for various workstreams, advising on technologies and development tools across relational and NoSQL systems + Design and implement automated solutions for managing database structures, improving internal user experience and operational efficiency + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions with existing platforms and workflows + Conduct performance analysis and optimization using SQL tuning techniques to resolve bottlenecks and enhance system responsiveness + Document database architecture, tuning strategies, and automation processes to support knowledge sharing and future maintenance **What you'll bring along** + Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience + Minimum 5-7 years of experience on a similar position is required + Extensive professional experience as a database administrator or in a similar role + Strong expertise in relational databases such as Db2 for z/OS, PostgreSQL, and CockroachDB + Working experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB and Redis + Experience in SQL performance analysis and tuning + Working experience in analyzing database performance and implementing targeted tuning measures to maximize efficiency + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
