The EMEA ISV Cloud Labs Consultant’s key function would require Oracle Cloud Infrastructure & Platform technical expertise employed as a subject matter resource with the task of working closely with the EMEA Account Cloud Engineers to ensure that the Oracle products being offered can be tailored to meet the both the ISV Sell to and ISV Sell through Go-to-Market Business needs.

The Mission

Your mission is to work with Oracle’s largest ISV partners on migration strategies to move their IP to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and to develop their next-generation SaaS offerings on the OCI. You will work with internal Oracle Cloud offering teams, including Product Management and Development, to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient production cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of OCI services. In collaboration with ISV sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers, help our customers accelerate the adoption of OCI IaaS and PaaS – e.g. Compute, Storage, Java as a Service, Database as a Service – and successfully migrate the ISV partner’s applications from on-premise or cloud deployments to OCI services.

This organization is focusing on ISV & OEM partners that integrate/embed Oracle technologies into their products, applications & solutions deployed in the cloud and/or on-premise at the customer, partner, or Oracle locations.

We are looking to recruit a colleague to be part of the Database & Infrastructure team with experience of Oracle Databases within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The team is part of the ISV Cloud Labs mainly responsible for migration of new ISV customers from on premise/third party cloud to OCI.

Candidates should be skilled and experienced in Oracle Database technologies & collaterals.

May act as a solution design engineer and deliver functional and technical solutions for the migration projects to meet customer requests.

What You’ll Do

As a trusted customer advocate, you will help ISVs understand best practices around cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing production workloads to the cloud.

Understand and stay up-to-date with Oracle Cloud Database managed services, related Oracle Cloud managed services, promote OCI advantages

Enable ISVs on their road to adopt and use OCI services 

Migration: move or re-implement existing On-Prem services to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in a secure way and leverages the latest cloud services.

Provide implementation of solutions as agreed with Cloud Architects inside the organization.

Collaborate with ISV team & Oracle Support, OCI Product Managers

Deliver workshops on solutions that meet the ISV Prime customer requests.

Troubleshoot various problems as part of the delivery process and provide internal analysis and support. 

Provide specifications for proposed solutions including materials and time estimates

Generate interest to drive consumption of OCI services across various ISV partners segments

Be passionate about your area of expertise and aim to gain more knowledge day to day

A key requirement is a strong understanding of the business and software solution opportunity presented by Oracle Cloud technology for major multinational enterprises. The ability to connect Oracle technology with measurable ISV business & technical value is critical.

Requirements

Good Oracle Database 12c, 18c, 19c, 21c administration skills.

Experience with multitenant, replication tools and migration methods such as Oracle DataPump, RMAN, Transportable Tablespaces, Oracle GoldenGate etc.

Setup, maintenance, monitor and troubleshooting of Oracle Database, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC.

Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring for Database processes.

Proven experience with Oracle database patching and upgrade. 

Understanding of virtualization solutions and Cloud services.

Good technical background in Linux/UNIX OS and virtualization.

Technical knowledge with networking, storage, and security.

Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into architectural solutions, analytical and documentation skills.

Customer engagement experience.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

Exposure to Oracle Databases within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous Oracle Databases.

Experience with other Oracle products like Oracle SOA, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle APEX, Oracle Identity Management is a plus. 

Familiarity with agile processes.
