A resource is needed with senior level experience that can help design, develop and maintain database, provide technical support as well as knowledge transfer to the existing team.  
MAP database handled more than $2 billion construction and maintenance job and project information and provides data services to many of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) business units.  There are more than 30 systems that interface with MAP database to complete transactions that involve job numbers and project creation and maintenance.  The database is being restructured due to SIGMA project efforts. The database developer, will help to design and develop the database, create database logical and physical models, maintain  data integrity, efficient tracking and processing of project data, to accurately report the project information to federal and state agencies. 
Application/Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The resource needs strong Oracle PL/SQL development work experience writing procedure, packages and functions,  The resource should also have relational database design experience,  perform data analysis on enterprise DBMS and ensure data quality through development and testing practices and participate as database developer on critical projects as required. 
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
