The role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects in a supportive and dynamic work environment.  We are seeking an experienced database professional to lead the design, development, and ongoing support of advanced database environments. This position is hands-on and will focus on optimizing database performance, ensuring security protocols, maintaining data integrity, and resolving complex technical issues across diverse database systems.  The role will require expertise in both traditional relational databases and modern cloud-based data platforms. Examples of technologies in use may include DB2, SQL Server, mainframe databases, and cloud services like Amazon RDS, Aurora, or DynamoDB. Responsibilities: Develop, configure, and maintain database structures and storage systemsOversee system performance while safeguarding data accuracy and protectionDiagnose and address advanced issues related to database accessibility and functionalityPlan, test, and implement updates and patches for database management softwareCreate and refine complex database queries to enhance efficiencyProvide guidance and knowledge sharing to team members and less experienced colleaguesParticipate in after-hours support and ensure timely completion of project milestones Qualifications and Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable discipline; or equivalent professional experienceOver five years of experience in IT, with a minimum of three years focused on database management and administrationIn-depth knowledge of relational database systems and multi-tier client-server environmentsExcellent analytical abilities combined with effective communication skills for technical topicsProven experience managing database protection, data backup strategies, and restoration processesComfortable working within Agile methodologies, including frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban Benefits and Perks: Competitive salary: $110,000 – $130,000 annuallyHealth, Vision, and Dental Insurance401(k) planPTOOutstanding benefits package Your New Organization:Our client is a leader in their industry, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, and offers a collaborative work environment that values innovation and growth.
