**Oracle DBA High Level generic Job requirement – This will change from client to client.**
+ Manage Oracle databases (Oracle 8i to Oracle 19c), through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
+ Understand how to maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
+ Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving skills
+ Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
+ Understand incident, problem, change and request management and sla’s.
+ Experience working with different OS platforms like Linux (redhat, suse, oracle etc), Windows & Unix servers (Solaris,AIX,HPUX), Openvms etc.
+ Experience managing databases and correcting issues in standalone, oracle restart, oracle rac, dataguard configurations.
+ Database performance tuning.
+ Planning and performing new installation of standalone, Oracle restart and Oracle RAC environments , as per requirement.
+ Build , migrate databases across different platforms.
+ Planning, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting of high-availability database environments like oracle dataguard.
+ Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes, for efficiency and cost optimization.
+ Perform scheduled maintenance and perform change activities after hours.
+ Apply oracle release update / OJVM patches quarterly or as per the client patching process.
+ Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
+ Work directly with end customer, business stakeholders as well as technical resources.
+ Work with oracle support as and when required.
+ Work with different backup related tools like Commvault, Rubrik, networker, netbackup etc as per the client and understanding the backup/restore process.
+ Understand different ticketing tools like Service now, rtms etc.
+ Understand/document/test backup/restore procedures for each client.
+ Plan and perform DR drills as per the process.
+ Be a good team player and work effectively with other teams..
+ Work on Exadata/exacc/exacs/ODA environments based on the client.
+ Experience in shell scripting .
