For more information, please visit www.brightstarlottery.com . **Responsibilities** Have a solid understanding of DB2 data dictionaries, database structure and layout, and installing, Upgrading and managing database applications. Work Extensively on DDL/DML/DCL.Ability to create, modify, test, implement, and maintain database scripts (Shell Script, Perl, Python, etc.). Ability to work with Customers and understand their requirements.Ability to update, modify, reconfigure, backup, and restore databases. Understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures Design the migration paths from older versions of DB2 to the latest releases. Establishes policies and procedures pertaining to database management, security, maintenance, and utilization Analyzes database performance statistics and performs required tuning activities to optimize database performance. Recommends continuous improvement in database administration. Shared on-call responsibilities in 24 x 7 operation. Work extensively on utilities such as Reorg, Runstats, Rebind, Import, LoadTuning, and optimizing the complex queries for better performance Database Administration includes the setup of DB2 database environments for development, QA, APL, and Production. Knowledge of TSA & HADR with single & multiple standby servers. Experience with Pacemaker (Linux with DB2) is a plus. Ability to use of database analysis tools (DB2 visual studio, DB2PD, DB2TOP, DB2 Explain, etc.).Ability to detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and escalate database incidents.Ability to forecast, recommend, and implement database capacity planning.DB2 LUW v 10.5 & v11.1 or above on Linux is a plus. Maintains database documentation (database libraries, best practices, and performance and capacity metrics). Development of a maintenance strategy and maintenance scripts relating to backup and recovery of databases. Years of Experience: + 7 - 10 years of related experience Bachelor's Four-year degree, or equivalent; an advanced degree is preferred. 7 – 10 years of DB2 DBA LUW experience required. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
