Description At AWS, we’re searching for transformation consultants to join the AWS Professional Services delivery team. Through deep professional services engagements, we help customers recalibrate their overall cloud data vision, data strategy, data governance operating model & roadmap - and then assist them to execute on that roadmap. This is a hybrid role requiring exceptional sales and delivery skills. The role starts by working with customer facing account team to shape client's data strategy and then goes on to work with the delivery team to implement the solution. This role requires someone with strong consultative skills in data and analytics, along with hands-on builder skills, coupled with obsession for customers, and ensuring their success using AWS services. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will be able to develop comprehensive data strategies while clearly articulating transformation approaches that help AWS customers modernize their data driven decision capability. We seek outcome-driven and customer-obsessed experts who are passionate about: • Partnering with C-level executives to shape Enterprise Data and Information strategies • Building and nurturing C-Suite and line-of-business relationships to establish trusted advisor status • Demonstrating and articulating comprehensive knowledge of industry IT & Data trends • Conducting application portfolio analysis, mapping dependencies, identifying common infrastructure components, and evaluating migration feasibility • Technically skilled in Designing and implementing hybrid AWS and on-premises data solutions • Developing cost/benefit analyses and compelling business cases for Data Governance and Information Management solutions • Creating AWS migration roadmaps and securing buy-in across complex organizational structures • Partnering with consulting and managed services partners to develop and deliver solutions. • Leading and provide consulting for large-scale enterprise data transformational initiatives A day in the life This is a customer facing role. Project engagements include remote delivery methods and onsite engagement that will include travel to customer locations as needed. Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience - 5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience - AWS Professional level certification - Leading large transformational project, cloud migration, data platform modernization. Role can be proposal lead, technical lead or project manager. Preferred Qualifications - Perform as sales or proposal leader in winning data transformation related contracts.
