**Data Solutions Tester - Internship**
**About the Role**
As a CBRE BSO Data Solutions Tester | Intern, you will be responsible for conducting manual testing of our automated sustainability reporting solutions and extending the automated test suite for developed systems. This role will allow you to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance while contributing to the enhancement of our data solutions. The role is also a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Python and work with real production code, providing valuable insights into the development and testing of professional software solutions.
This role is part of the Sustainability Data Solutions team within CBRE BSO, which is responsible for developing software supporting Sustainability Consultants and Data Analysts in day to day work. The team plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our sustainability reporting tools, ultimately supporting our commitment to delivering top-notch services to our clients.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Conduct manual testing of automated sustainability reporting solutions to ensure functionality and accuracy. Identify defects and inconsistencies and document findings for further analysis.
+ Extend the automated test suite for developed systems by creating new test cases. Collaborate with the development team to understand system features and requirements.
+ Participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress, challenges, and results.
+ Document test plans, test cases, and test results to maintain clear and organized records. Share insights and recommendations for enhancing software quality.
+ Support the team in troubleshooting issues and working towards resolution. Engage in problem-solving discussions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
+ Stay updated on industry best practices in software testing and quality assurance. Bring innovative ideas to the team to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
**What You’ll Need**
+ Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Energy, Sustainability and Environment Sciences or a related field.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and document issues effectively.
+ Familiarity with python (pandas is minimum requirement), git repositories and relational databases. Basic knowledge of the pytest framework and TDD principles will be beneficial.
**Note**
Please note that internship will be last up to 3 months and it will be unpaid.
