The Global Engineering Center in Puerto Rico is looking for an Engineer to join our team.  We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations.  This person will support the Digital Solutions team and must possess a deep understanding of data analysis, modeling techniques, and other statistical methods to develop predictive models and implement machine learning algorithms.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What You Will Do:

Lead the analysis, modeling, and explanation of data to produce analytical results.Develop standards, policies, software, and procedures for the development of analytical results and predictive models.Define and execute useful analyses to solve problems.Optimize the performance of data systems by discovering, cleaning, and utilizing appropriate data from enterprise systems.Create testing and validation methodologies and criteria.Develop data/information and model quality metrics.Research new technologies and develop business cases to support their use.Identify data trends, generate insights, and reach business conclusions.Support strategic decision-making across the organization.Research machine learning libraries and algorithms for different tasks (supervised/unsupervised learning).Implement machine learning experiments and develop new algorithms.Conduct statistical analysis to quantify the completeness and validity of data sources.Provide support to engineering teams to use the digital thread in root cause investigations.Work with Service groups to learn and gather requirements for analytics/visualization needs.Work autonomously with limited supervision.Influence others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.Perform data analysis using Pandas/Pyspark in Python.Follow and complete stories/tasks in an Agile Scrum project.Learn fundamentals about mechanical and electrical systems to represent the Product Life Cycle in an ontology.Perform code review, versioning, and production deployment.Create meaningful visualizations for delivery to stakeholders.Automate analyses and data cleaning procedures via Workflows.Implement business concepts using ontology.Understand the context of technical data and appropriately normalize data into business metrics.

Qualifications You Must Have

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related fieldDemonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer

Aerospace industry experience.Statistical analysis experience with Python/Pyspark.Experience navigating competing priorities, achieving the highest level of engagement, and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations.Database and SQL experience is a plus.Experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Plotly.Proficient in Agile methodologies.Experience using JIRA/Confluence.Experience with Databricks, AWS S3, GitHub, CAD, and PLM Software.
