Data Scientist

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members focused on Physics (Hydrodynamics, Acoustics, RF and EO/IR propagation, among other areas) and Machine Learning to design, implement, and deliver cutting edge machine Signal Processing solutions to complex problems of national importance.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced statistical and machine learning models utilizing state-of-the-art methods.Implement advanced statistical concepts, algorithms and techniques to extract, consolidate and analyze unstructured, classified “big data” sources to generate actionable insights.Collaborate with other applied scientists, engineers, researchers & program managers to architect and implement machine learned solutions to novel problems.Engage in continuous learning and development, staying current with the latest advances in AI/ML and data science to ensure fit-for-purpose and impactful approaches.Prepare and present briefs to client team members at a regular cadence.Lead and manage a team: Recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, and evaluate a team of 3-5 direct reports.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.Proficient in modern data exploration techniques and toolsExperience developing and implementing machine learned solutionsFamiliarization with modern AI/ML algorithms and librariesFluency in C/C++, Python or MatlabStrong understanding of machine learning concepts, principles and practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsRequired on-site full-time work in San Diego, CAMust currently hold a US Government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience performing research to develop data science solutionsExperience implementing and applying advanced mathematical concepts in software applications

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
