Description Amazon’s Modeling and Optimization Team (MOP) is looking for a passionate individual with strong optimization and analytical skills to join us in the endeavor of designing and planning the most complex supply chain in the world. The team is responsible for optimizing the global supply chain for Amazon.com and ensuring that the company is able to inbound goods from seller and vendors, transport them to their target fulfillment center, and deliver to our customers as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. We work on problems ranging from network design to inventory management, in order to support strategic decisions. About the team https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7089317294417346561/ Basic Qualifications - Master's degree in a quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science experience - 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience - 2+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL, Hadoop/Hive) experience - 2+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience - Knowledge of Operations Research, such as mixed-integer linear programming, stochastic programming, simulation. And experience with mathematical programming software packages like Xpress, CPLEX, or Gurobi. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
