With the development of new products within JT Group, the SRA S&H Data Analysis team is experiencing a growing demand for statistical analyses to support product launches, regulatory submissions, and registrations. To strengthen this effort, we are seeking a Junior Data Science Manager who will contribute to data analysis projects and help maintain and enhance the SRA big data platform, including dashboarding and machine learning functionalities.

 

 

Position Overview:

As a Data Science Manager, you will:

Support the proper handling and organisation of data across the SRA Big Data platform Assist with running syntax in Python/R/SAS to produce clear and accurate outputs (e.g., tables, figures) for internal and external stakeholders Apply appropriate scientific and statistical methods under guidance, ensuring high-quality deliverables Collaborate with internal and external partners to build strong working relationships Stay curious, open to feedback, and committed to learning new data science and statistical techniques

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field (preferred) Some experience in data science, statistics, or a similar analytical role, with exposure to machine learning techniques, is a plus, but not essential Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Exposure to MS Azure, Databricks, and Power BI is an advantage Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, R, or SAS) Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical results in a business-friendly way Enthusiasm for technology, problem-solving, and teamwork Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £65.000- 71.000 per annum, dependent on experience and a car allowance of £7,611 per annum.
