The Chief Data Office in close partnership with key business stakeholders, Global WAM Operations and Information Services will support the transformation of the organization to ensure data is leveraged as a strategic asset supporting our business goals. The group’s objectives include:
A single, central source for data which is easy to access and describes how the data was obtainedData quality continually monitored and accuracy improvedCommon standards and policies for data governanceFlexible reporting tools to access data and adapt to changing business or regulatory requirementsThe Analyst, Operational Insights Enablement, will be a key member of a team of data professionals responsible for establishing and driving the successful implementation of BI and reporting solutions in Manulife’s Global WAM segment. They will bring together their technical expertise, business knowledge and communications skills to enable deployment and usage of these solutions for GWAM.
Responsibilities:
Lead development and deployment of operational insights solutions, including data sourcing, ETL, data modelling and data visualizationsApply change management principles and utilize appropriate messaging/positioning to ensure solutions are well governed and successfully adopted by all levels of stakeholdersEstablish standards and documentation related to data ingestion, modelling and reportingSupport development related to the technical capability established in our data quality solution, including troubleshooting issues, process or model automation and expanding functionality or reportingSupport the processes related to the adoption of the segment’s data quality monitoring program, including stakeholder engagement, translation of business data quality requirements into SQL code and relevant change management activities to ensure sustained process adoptionLeadership:

Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline3-5 years of relevant work experienceHigh business and technical acumen; ability to quickly learn about the business or technologies and apply knowledge to achieve team outcomes with positive attitude and strong work ethicStrong proficiency in data analysis, with broad understanding of data foundationally and technicallyHands-on experience creating solutions leveraging a variety of technologiesExperience in data ETL, data modeling, database and query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL), programming languages (e.g., C#, VB, Python) and subsequent data visualization (e.g., Power BI)Experience bridging the business and technology worlds with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams to achieve desired outcomesAbility to constructively challenge and influence stakeholdersTenacity to push past challenges while maintaining focus on the objective is essentialStrong leadership, communication, and presentation skillsWhen you join our team:
