Title or Role: Data Quality Engineer Compensation: up to $65./hour commensurate with experience Location: 100% Remote Length of Contract: 6 months Position Description: The Data Delivery & Operations Division is a growing, client service-oriented team that is business-centric, working closely with the investment management and operational teams to anticipate and meet their complex information and reporting needs. We are seeking a seasoned Data Quality/Data Analytics Engineer Contractor to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our critical data assets, playing a key part in maintaining data integrity across our systems. Responsibilities: As a Data Quality Engineer, your essential activities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Designing and implementing data quality rules in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) to validate file formats, schema consistency, completeness, and business logic compliance.
+ Establishing and managing SLA monitoring frameworks to track external file delivery timeliness, frequency, and compliance with contractual or operational expectations.
+ Creating and maintaining alerting and exception workflows for missing, late, or malformed file deliveries.
+ Profiling incoming data stored in Azure Blob Storage and loaded into Snowflake for issues such as null values, duplicates, schema drift, or logic violations.
+ Collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of validation steps into ingestion pipelines.
+ Working with business and governance stakeholders to define quality thresholds, acceptance criteria, and reporting standards.
+ Generating documentation, dashboards, and issue logs to track quality metrics and SLA performance.
+ Contributing to root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to address quality breaches or SLA violations.
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of advanced experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), including rule creation, data profiling, and monitoring.
+ Proficiency in Snowflake and experience with profiling and managing large datasets.
+ 3+ years of experience working with Azure Blob Storage and Snowflake Snowpipe.
+ 2+ years of experience designing and supporting SLA monitoring and alerting systems around data intake.
+ 3+ years of familiarity with data quality dimensions (e.g., accuracy, completeness, validity, timeliness).
+ Familiarity with financial datasets, including security master and holding datasets, commonly used in investment operations.
+ Execution-level familiarity with ETL orchestration, data contracts, or third-party file delivery standards.
+ 2+ years of experience working with FactSet.
+ Past Financial or Asset Management Industry experience.
+ Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
+ A Bachelor's degree, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems preferred
