What you’ll do

The Data Privacy Analyst ensures that the organization’s data handling practices comply with privacy laws and regulations. This role involves conducting privacy assessments, developing policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement privacy frameworks and mitigate data risks.

Key Accountabilities

• Participate in the implementation of the organization’s Privacy Framework and AI Governance Program.

• Provide support and guidance to business functions on privacy-related matters, including reviewing new products, systems and services to ensure privacy by design and by default.

• Participate in the development and implementation of data protection policies and procedures within the organization.

• Work closely with the DPO on handling data subjects’ queries and requests.

• Work closely with the privacy team members on risk management and mitigation, Incident Management and Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Technical and Professional Skills

In-depth knowledge of data protection lawsUnderstanding of telecommunications operations, data infrastructure, and technology ecosystems will be considered an assetWell-developed interpersonal & stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levelsStrong organisation skills, including the ability to manage time well and prioritize effectively.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Law, IT, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in data protection will be considered an assetMinimum of 2 years of experience in privacy or a related fieldNot a perfect fit?
