The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
**Position Summary:** The Data Pipeline Leader will work with application development and IT operations to help achieve state-of-the-art data pipelines that meet current and future business objectives, while at the same time ensuring that the company’s digital products offer the highest reliability and performance possible. This position will involve assigning tasks to data pipeline developers in the NA and AP regions while working closely with our business partners on their data needs. They will evaluate and recommend different solutions and provide leadership to the product and engineering teams in delivering architecture, design, and development of solutions across multiple technology stacks.
**Responsibilities:**
+ **Business Partner Engagement**
+ Assist business partners in identifying and documenting data gaps
+ Acts as a liaison between developers and business partners – ability to translate technical details
+ Creates estimates based off business requirements
+ **Develops technical solutions**
+ Ensures the appropriate technology is utilized in order to meet deliverables
+ Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure appropriate technology utilization
+ Acts as a liaison between Corning and data pipeline vendors on issues, upgrades, etc.
+ **Data Pipeline Developer Engagement**
+ Assigns tasks to Developers
+ Works closely with the DevOps Manager to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and developers are effectively managing their time while delivering project deliverables in a timely manner
+ **Operations Team Engagement**
+ Ensures new capabilities are transferrable to production environments
+ Acts as a liaison with the businesses during planned and unplanned outages
+ Performs vendor engagement escalation for addressing high visibility issues
+ Meets regularly with the Operations Team Lead to discuss upcoming capabilities or address on-going issues
**Education and Experience:**
+ BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
+ 10+ years of relevant IT experience
+ 8+ years providing direct business partner engagement
+ 8+ years’ experience working with developers/engineers on implementing processes and procedures within dynamic team settings
+ 8+ years’ experience in Microsoft SSIS
+ 5+ years’ experience in QLIK Replicate and Compose
+ 5+ years’ experience in Databricks, Python, and AWS platform services
+ 5+ years’ experience using Agile project methodologies
+ 2+ years’ experience in Fivetran and AWS Data sync

**Travel:** Minimal

The range for this position is $100,259.00 - $137,857.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
