**Overview**
The Data Operations Analyst will provide daily technical support to ensure the proper performance of the production systems. The system should be kept at the highest level of performance through proactive maintenance tasks and issue resolution as needed. They will assist in the planning and implementation of updates and improvements including security, access and producing the required documentation. Activities may be performed during regular business hours, weekends, and after-hours.
In this role you will be working with internal and external stakeholders (business and technical) assessing, analyzing, developing and implementing strategies and processes to satisfy their business goals, and objectives. You will be collaborating with other parts of the organization to coordinate and gain support and assistance as required. You will be a key team member ensuring service level agreements (SLA’s) are achieved and maintained as contractually agreed with our customers.
This position requires strong analytical. critical-thinking, assessment, communication and technical troubleshooting skills. You should possess good understanding of SQL, Linux, Python scripting, VmWare vCenter Server, Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli, Java Application servers, HTTP/API calls, IBM NFS, Apache Solr, and basic Cloud concepts. This role requires understanding of JIRA, office desktop apps, and ITIL concepts.

+ Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective technical solutions.
+ Respond promptly to customer concerns and service-level incidents, ensuring resolution meets performance expectations.
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting across Brightstar systems, applying deep technical knowledge to resolve issues.
+ Help define and implement operational best practices for system processing, maintenance, and monitoring.
+ Recommend improvements to operating systems, workflows, and procedures to enhance performance and reliability.
+ Respond to system emergencies to minimize financial impact, adhering to established service-level agreements (SLAs).
+ Perform system installations and configuration updates to optimize operational responsibilities.
+ Support planning and execution of disaster recovery (DR), business continuity procedures, and audit-related activities.
**What you bring:**
+ Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in Data Operations Support (or 3+ years with an advanced degree in a computer-related field).
+ Intermediate-level Linux skills.
+ Advanced knowledge of Brightstar’s products, services, and transaction lifecycle.
+ Strong understanding of Brightstar’s physical and logical security policies and procedures.
+ Familiarity with retailer POS systems and network equipment.
+ Working knowledge of ITIL and ISO standards and tools.
+ Ability to detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and escalate operational incidents effectively.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,631 - $98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
